The Orion spacecraft that launched on 11/16/22 as part of the Artemis I mission is equipped with four Luna Labs corrosion sensors on the exterior of the crew module. Future Artemis missions will be equipped with Luna’s Acuity LS corrosion sensor devices.
Luna Labs products are helping Lockheed Martin Space to understand corrosive conditions on the exterior of the spacecraft upon reentry and recovery. Acuity LS will also monitor corrosivity and humidity inside of the crewed module to understand how exercise and use of potable water impact corrosivity throughout the mission.
You can read more about Luna’s involvement in that mission in this blog post from 2020.
